CyberCash ties up with Man-n-MachinePriya Ganapati at Pragati MaidanIndia got its first merchant on the Net, when Man-n-Machine tied up with CyberCash. Officials of the New Delhi-based Man-n-Machine announced the deal just hours after CyberCash founder CEO William Melton delivered a keynote address at the India Internet World conference. The arrangement will let the Indian firm to register and use the CyberCash payment system to allow what is expected to be secure and reliable credit card transactions. Melton said he is confident that the great Indian middle-class would prove the market for its products. "The size of the Indian middle-class is equivalent to that of the entire population of England. Such numbers would have excited any company," he said. Man-n-Machine, a Web solutions company, has already put together a virtual mall for some US clients. Another mall, directed at the jewellery market, is expected to be up by the end of next month. While it usually just confirms credit card payment and directs delivery of the product, Man-n-Machine is also preparing for complicated situations, among them are those thrown up when indecisive customers seek to change their order. |
