Microsoft's strategy is to work with the developers and support them with the latest architecture for the growing Indian banking and financial market, Microsoft Managing Director Sanjay Mirchandani told reporters in New Delhi.

Windows distributed Internet applications architecture is Microsoft's middle strategy that will simplify the adoption of Winbank in banks with legacy systems.

It will provide foundation for exposing the business logic within Winbank for alternative channels of delivery such as ATMs, telebanking and the Internet with the traditional retail branch mechanism for the delivery of these financial services.
