Softplus bags Romanian cellular job

Softplus Inc, a provider of e-commerce and customer relationship management solutions, has announced a contract with Mobil Rom, a leading mobile telephone operator in Romania.

The deal is for Softplus to build end-to-end solution for Mobil Rom's 'Cyber Call Centre'.

The total cost of the solution (products and services) in the first phase will be over $1.5 million, a company statement said today.

The project will provide solutions for customer care, billing and computer-telecom integration. The products being implemented include Connext Ex and Telco Care besides building a connector to their billing engine. A 10-member multinational workforce is expected to complete the project in 18 weeks, the statement said.

According to India's National Association of Software and Service Companies, the call centre industry today generates Rs 5.5 billion in revenues and employs 14,000 people.

Call centres are key customer touch points and are a vital nexus where companies evolve personalised services for their customers.
