Pentafour Software Q1 net profit up 63 per centSoftware services major Pentafour Software has registered a 63 per cent surge in net profit during the first quarter of 1999-2000 fiscal to Rs 344 million from Rs 211 million a year ago.Net sales during the April-June quarter were Rs 1.43 billion, up 50.3 per cent from Rs 957.8 million in the same period last year.
Overseas sales and services accounted for Rs 1.39 billion during the period while domestic sales were Rs 40.7 million. Other income was up to Rs 12.8 million from Rs 6 million a year ago while total expenditure stood at Rs 899.5 million. Business software formed 44 per cent of its revenues during the period, while multimedia formed 56 per cent of the revenues. In view of project milestones, high value multimedia, banking, insurance projects and deferred debt of long-cycle projects, debtors averaged 120 days of sales in April-June 1999.
