Pentafour net rises by 81 per centSoftware service major Pentafour Communications has recorded an 81 per cent surge in net profit during the first quarter of 1999-2000 to Rs 45.7 million as against Rs 25.2 million a year earlier.Its turnover during the quarter was Rs 201.3 million.
During the year, Pentafour opened 8 new franchise centres, taking the number of such centres to 72. The company has tied up with Microsoft for offering Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer course. It is also a Master Authorised Training Provider of IBM's information technology courses certified by IBM learning services. During the first quarter, 21 IBM authorised e-business solutions centres were opened. The courses at these centres include Web page designing, Web server administration, Internet security and e-business development. The company's export turnover stood at Rs 82.7 million while total expenditure was Rs 134.8 million. Gross profit for the three-month period was Rs 67.3 million. UNI |
