TRAI to survey telecom customers for satisfaction levelsThe Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has decided to commission a customer survey across the country to find out the levels of customer satisfaction for different telecom services. The survey will be done on a representative sample drawn from the metros, 'secondary switching areas' and rural areas. It will determine satisfaction levels for services like cellular, paging, V-SAT and email. The findings will then be matched against the claims of the operators. TRAI Chairman Justice S S Sodhi has said that the authority has written to all operators (including companies operating value-added services) to obtain details of the services provided by them. This information will be matched against the norms mentioned in the licence agreements. |
