Chartered accountancy results to be posted on the Web

The results of the final examination of chartered accountants and that of the foundation course held in May this year will be available on the Internet too.

A release issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India said the results would be announced on July 13 at their Web site.

Both the examinations of ICAI were held in May, 1997, in 105 centres in 50 cities across the country and also at Kathmandu in Nepal. A total of 23,000 students appeared at the CA final examination, 18,000 in the foundation course examination, the release said.

The ICAI, established in 1949, has now taken Internet connections at its headquarters in Delhi and Noida besides its three regional offices at Bombay, Madras and Calcutta. The institute conducts its examinations twice a year and also provides correspondence courses to students.
