Siemens Nixdorf ties up with Reliance TelecomSiemens Nixdorf India has announced a tieup with Reliance Telecom, to provide complete information technology solutions for Reliance Telecom's cellular service called Reliance Mobile.The joint venture of Reliance and Nynex has licenses for the operation of GSM services in the seven circles of Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Assam and the Northeast. Siemens Nixdorf will supply the customer care and billing system for the project. Siemens Nixdorf India terms the collaboration as a supplier partnership. It includes in the first step providing complete client-server based systems applications for online connectivity with the switching equipment, the data network infrastructure and systems integration. The customer services will rely on the new generation customer care and billing system 'Intebis' (integrated telecommunications business information systems). This billing package Intebis responds to Reliance's needs for a flexible and innovative tool to provide excellent service to their customers. The solution provides a comprehensive customer care approach keeping all necessary information available to Reliance Telecom's customer service representatives and enabling them to react quickly to all customer demands.
