India captain Sourav Ganguly has been fined his entire match fee for the team's slow over rate in Saturday's third One-Day International against Pakistan.

"We have learnt he has been fined his full match fee. We have to wait for a formal announcement from the ICC," an Indian cricket official told Reuters on Sunday.

Ganguly was summoned for a hearing by International Cricket Council match referee Chris Broad after his bowlers took almost 30 minutes more than the allotted three-and-half hours to complete their 50 overs.

Pakistan compiled 319 for nine in their innings, before going on to claim a 106-run victory that reduced India's lead in the six-match series to 2-1.

Last November, Ganguly was handed a two-Test ban for his team's slow over rate during a one-day defeat to Pakistan in Kolkata, but successfully appealed to the ICC.
