The Sri Lankan cricket team, which came under a brazen terror attack in Lahore leaving six of its players injured, arrived in Colombo early this morning by a special chartered plane.
The flight with all the Lankan players and officials arrived here at around 3 a.m.
The team was received at the airport by senior government and Sri Lankan cricket officials.
Thilan Samaraweera, who sustained a gunshot wound in the leg, and opener Tharanga Paranavitana, who was shot in the chest, were taken to a government hospital from airport, an official said, adding they are said to be in stable condition. Other team members went to their home.
The Sri Lankan President had sent the special flight to Lahore following the attack yesterday.
