Bid on independent candidate's life in J&K

Two days ahead of the fourth and last phase of polling, terrorists on Sunday tried to kill independent candidate Abdul Hafiz Wani in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

No one was injured when the terrorists fired at Wani's motorcade at around 0945 IST at Dosa-Pati.

The candidate was on his way to Kensa village from Bhaderwah to attend an election rally, official sources said.
