Actor-turned-politician Shabana Azmi on Monday criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party's 'India Shining' campaign.
"Feel good and India Shining have to be experienced by all sections of the society," she said in Chandigarh. "It cannot be for a particular class or for the members of the BJP alone."
Without naming anyone, Azmi said that a concerted effort was being made by some to divide people. "The way it is being decided by some, that if you do this only then you are Indian or if you do not do that, you are anti-India, is what I am worried about," she said.
"We must understand that India's biggest strength is its secularism and pluralism," said Azmi.
