Lok Janshakti Party president and Union minister Ramvilas Paswan on Wednesday accused the ruling party in Bihar, the Rashritya Janata Dal, of "conspiring with the Bharatiya Janata Party to topple the United Progressive Alliance government" at the Centre.
He accused the RJD of forming its government in Bihar with the "support of communal forces".
Paswan was speaking after the exit polls following the second round of elections in Bihar predicted a fragmented verdict.
"During the campaign, RJD leaders have been slinging mud against the Congress. They have also dubbed the Congress as a dangai party (a party of rioters)," he said.
Paswan also referred to RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his wife and Chief Minister Rabri Devi's statement alleging that the Congress was responsible for the 1989 Bhagalpur riots.
