Rashtriya Janata Dal president and Railways Minsiter Lalu Prasad Yadav was booked in Jharkhand on Saturday for landing his chopper near the site of an election meeting instead of on the makeshift helipad set up by the administration.
The Garwah district administration booked the case under the Representation of People Act and the election model code of conduct, official sources said.
Yadav was in Garwah to address the election meeting of his party ahead of next month's assembly poll in the state.
Addressing a press conference, Garwah Deputy Commissioner Subodhnath Thakur said the administration had also lodged first information reports against Garwah RJD candidate Girinath Singh, the two pilots and a couple of other people.
All of them have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Representation of People Act, he added.
