Eminent filmmaker Shyam Benegal participated as chief guest at the Centre for Media Studies Academy-Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Awards 2007 presentation ceremony in Hyderabad on Sunday.
This is the first time in India that news bulletins/channels will be assessed for professional awards.
Benegal has made 22 films and won 46 awards in India and abroad.
His new film, Mahadev Ka Sajjanpur, starring Shreyas Talpade, Ravi Kissan and Amrita Rao, will be out this year.
