Party For South Asian Summer Interns in Washington

Every summer, hundreds of south Asian interns migrate to Washington DC for internships. Many intern in the federal government, for members of the Congress and for private organizations and non-profits groups.

But most interns do not have the opportunity to meet each other. Several former interns such as Kapil Sharma have joined hands with US Agency for International Development to host a party for south Asian summer interns in the Washington DC area on July 14 between 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm. The event and dinner are free.

There will also be young South Asian professionals in attendance to talk about their jobs and how interns can best maximize their summer experience.

The venue: Public Information Center/US Agency for International Development, mezzanine level of the atrium, Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center,1300 Pennsylvania Avenue ,NW, Washington DC.

Directions: The Reagan Building is located in downtown Washington, near Old Post Office Pavilion and the White House. You may enter the building on 14th St (between Pennsylvania Avenue and Constitution Avenue) or at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave and 13th St. Upon entering the building, you will find yourself in a large atrium. Proceed to the mezzanine level of the atrium, which is accessible by elevator or stairs. You should proceed to the 13th St side of the mezzanine level. Please look for the US Agency for International Development Public Information Center. This is where the dinner will be held.
