Revisiting Vedic CivilizationNEW YORK A 'Millennium Meet on Vedic Civilization and History of India' is scheduled for September 26. Speakers include Indologist Dr Koenraad Elst from Belgium, Arvind Sharma from McGill University, Subash Kak, Louisiana State University, Closepet Ramesh, Truman College and Swami Tattvavidananda. The guest of honor is the 109-year-holy man, Sri Swami Buaji. The day long event, starting at 8.30 am, offers a crash course and "a clear perception of the fundamentals of Vedas, Upanishads, Gita, Puranas, Vedic civilization and India's history." An Odissi dance by Surama Panda is also scheduled. The meet will be held at the School for Arts & Design, 1075 Second Ave (at 57 street), Manhattan, New York.
