Your Views:Politicians will be politicians, which usually means thieving and scavenging rascals. The BJP is after all a political party, no different from any of the others. It's only defence against any charge by the Congress is to say, "You did it too!" When the Ketan Parekh scam surfaced, Yashwant Sinha's only defence was to jeer at Manmohan Singh and remind him of Harshad Mehta! Dr. Manmohan Singh is too decent a man to jibe back that he did not have a Mauritius connection. When the Tehelka scam surfaced, all George Fernandes could muster was to remind the Congress of Bofors! When details of Ranjan Bhattacharya's telephone calls to PS Subramaniam of the UTI surfaced, all Pramod Mahajan could say in defence of his master was to remind us about PV Prabhakar Rao and the urea scam! And so it goes. All the Congress can now say is that: "You steal more!" And so it goes for Mulayam Singh, Jayalalithaa, Bal Thackeray, Laloo Prasad Yadav, Prakash Singh Badal, M Karunanidhi, N Chandrababu Naidu, Omprakash Chautala and Deve Gowda. Our political choices are now reduced to just that: Who steals less?

Your Views:Yes Ram Naik is guilty and he should step down. He is wearing the mask of a clean man but is a cheat, otherwise during the recent reshuffle of portfolios, he should have left it to the P.M. to give him whatever organisational responsibilities he felt good. Besides, he does not want the P.S.U. like Indian Oil, BPCL, HPCL also to be privatised because all this jugglery will not be possible thereafter. When he was railway minister also he did not do anything good for Mumbai from where he got elected, instead he built an office for himself on railway land in Goregaon. This is the kind of leadership we have in BJP, Congress, or name any party, after all ministers are corrupt and just do mud slinging on each other but the fact is that none of them is clean.

Your Views: "No. He is not Guilty." The Dirty Indian opposition are Guilty. Because they dont want to do any parlimentary businees ,insted cry for something and waste the time . If any system error is found it should be a combined effort to clear it out. That is what we want, and not to behave like street boys. If they are found guilty, let us see the allotment from 1950 onwards. Then we know the real color. Today I may be in one party tommorow to another. so how these people can say that he is X-party or Y-Party.All are bullshit.

So i think a high level committee should be formed to investigate the whole scenario of allotments. i hope it's the only way to handle the people to not do it again.
thank u.

Your Views:We Indians have a mentality of writing & discussing a lot after any incident occurs & forget it within a week/fortnight. Everyone is aware of the system going on from the time of application to allotment. Even we know how to get the work done. It seems that Mr. Ram Naik is made a scapegoat in the entire issue. Why no one is discussing the issue threadbare & taking a common decision of Do's & Dont's to be followed henceforth, not only for this issue but many other issues which are going to crop up in future. We are given to understand that earlier there were some objections raised by the Hon. minister, but later on that had to be overlooked due to the system followed on since years. It is a fact that like a herd of sheep, everyone follows the precedents and feel that if earlier Governments have done it and gone scot-free there is nothing wrong in doing that. Anyway, time has now come that all the political parties sincerely think of waste of common man's money and time. The monetary loss figures arrived in the Press for non-functioning of Lok Sabha for so many days are alarming. By now a mutual long-term concrete solution could have been made possible.

Who did the bofors scam? who did the sugar scam? who did the cement scam? who did the fodder scam? who did the urea scam? Were not the petrol and lpg dealership given to the congress party officials during their rule? Who was responcible for the biggest scam of the century - stock market scam, and where are they? (Can the dirty get away by saying there was system failure?). The Congress, Lalloo prasad and Communists are the worst kind of thugs. Now they are preaching us morality, amazing. We all know the likes of Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, who has no contribution towards the country or the people. Such people are leaches in the politics. Damn the Congress. We all know why Sonia Gandhi wants to come to power, to loot the country and sell it to Italian Mafia. They did not even spare the late Olaf Palme, these thugs of Congress and Communists.

BJP is in power just for 3 years it may have don some mistake by alloting some pumps to its own men and there NDA alliess. For this small thing Cong and other parties should not stop the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. If Cong really wants CBI probe it should start from 1980 to 2000 it should ask it's people and relatives to surrender all back

Your Views:Not only should Ram Naik resign but also all petroleum agencies alloted after Nationalization of Oil companies to the relatives of serving and retired politicians should be cancelled. The eligibility criteria for allotment of petroleum agencies should be amended with immediate effect. The politicians and their close relatives should be made non eligible award of petroleum agencies. As a matter of policy, the petroleum agencies should not be alloted to any individual for a period exceeding 10 years. This will curtail adulteration as well as black marketing of petroleum product. The oil companies need to be privatised as soon as possible and the administered price regime needs to be dismantled.

Unless and until Mr Ram Naik was found guilty the demand by the Cong is untenable. Under some pretext or the other the cong. have decided to stall the parliament. The presidentship of Mrs. Sonia has taken the parliament decorum and decency to the rock bottom. The system of parliamentary democracy is tarnished due her craze to occupy the chair of Prime Minister of a country of which she did not even wished to be a citizen. Her attitude and the attitude of the Cong. (If I am not there, it shouldn't be you either, in that case let there be a common person viz. Sonia) is dangerous to the Nation.

At the same time I care very little for other parties, specially the Congress party which is the most corrupt party today. Strangely, there are practically no scams or complaints against communist party leaders and ministers. The government should privatise all oil companies who should have the right to select their own distributors and dealers.

Your Views:After the judges appointed by the minister have also admitted the pressure put on them by the ministry (wonder why they did not resign in protest then) and after the PM had squashed the order for petrol pump and Gas agency, Ram Naik should have by now resigned, if he has any self respect. Take the example of the Late Lal Bahadur Shastry who had resigned claiming moral responsibility for the Ariyalur train mishap in then Madras District, claiming moral responsibility,.He never said I did not know anything about the conditions of the rails nor the rail bridges. Such was the ministers who had credibility instead of the ones who are more interested in sticking on to the chairs because of the perks go with it.If the BJP has any guts they should institute a CBI enquiry into the whole episode and also speed up the moves to disinvest the Petroleum sector so that the distributions would be done by the professional and professionally.

Successive governments have lived off such corruption. As someone said, let handing out petrol pumps and dealerships be a commercial decision left to the companies. There is no need for the government to be involved. It almost seems ludicrous that there is a retired judge, a committee etc. for this almost non-event thing.

My humble view is that the Mr Ram Naik should go. Ours is a budding democracy still. There has to be probity in public life. His exit will pave way for future occupants in any ministerial posts. The fact that the previous governments had indulged in wrong practices does not absolve the present government. Neither Mr Naik's services are indispensable to the government. There cannot be one rule for the minister, and another for public. Justice should not only be done, but should also appear to be done. In the interest of accountability, Mr Naik must get out honourably, or else he may have to be shown the door. In a parliamentary democracy, public or supreme. His exit will confirm this fact.

Your Views:1) Yes, Ram Naik should step down and this will shut the mouth of Congress leaders. 2) Now, the Govt. should look into the earlier deals also and scrap those obtained by dubious means. 3) At least now give Petrol Pump agencies to genuine people and see to it that the large-scale looting by them in connivance with the Oil Manufacturers and Civil Supplies officials is stopped immediately. 4) Have a transparent process of allotment and a practical mechanism to keep a tight leash on Petrol Pumps. 5) Let Congress introspect - people have not forgotten the great scams authored by Capt.Satish Sharma & Sukh Ram and how clean others are? Except for a few exceptions like Anthony, Manmohan Singh etc. all others are corrupt to the core and that includes Sonia Gandhi. Agreed, all political parties are equally bad but Congress is the worst amongst them. Corruption can be removed from any society just like that. When the opportunity presents itself, seize it and clean up a part of it from time to time. Life will be better for all of us and the nation as a whole will improve and prove itself.

If we continue to run our processes and systems, it is better we disinvest the govt as a whole to run the show. Politics has become nothing but a place to squeeze pulic money anf favour neoptism.
I make a earnest reply to all in the govt to at least honour the pledge they take, otherwise let us not waste money on such oath ceremonies, when we are bent upon encouraging corruption.
The distribution to Petrol pump to a person known to Mr. Vajpayee is insulting to the nation.
How can he be not aware of this ? Have the politicians been given licence to run the nation on ransom.

Your Views:Mr.Ram Naik need not resign, instead he should be couragious enogh to cancele all the allotments since 1980 and he should order an enquiry By a committee headed by honest and reputed, and nonpolitical persons, (and not these corrupt retired judges who are coming with nonsense arguments about their conducts) in this matter, so that the responsible persons to play these time of scam be brought to books.
Secondly to issue fresh permits to the public a foolproof policy of allotment should be drafted in consultation with all sections of the society and parties quickly. Auctioning and alloting the pump to the highest bidder is not the right solution.
Thirdly the most important consept these opposition parites (who are there in the parliament or assemblies, just only for opposition) should understand the fact that the party who farms the government have the mandet of the people and they have to act and for there act they may critise the ruling party, may bring a motion of noconfidence to throgh the ruling pary out of power, And should behave and act in a democratic manner in the parliament or state assemblies and shuld not resort to monkey or dog behaviour.

Your Views:The roots of corruption, favouratism, red-tapoism etc. are very deep in India. The politicians, bureaucrats and even low profile public servants who have power and get opportunity never miss to strike. Whereas the common man is punished, the powerful goes scot free. The ex Prime Minister, Chief ministers and many more have the privilege to get their names recorded in the 'history of the corrupt' The administration right at the top needs to set example and let Mr.Ram Naik take the lead. Our India need a strong administrator at the top like modern-day Patel-Capt. Amrinder Singh, the Chief Minister of Punjab. Ruling with the firm hand is the need of the hour and every corrupt may be in the civil or the judiciary should be sent behind bars so as to teach lesson to all and sundry

Your Views:Who is not guilty? Did any of congress leaders accepted if they would have been in power like Vajpayee? They would never have been accepted it morally. What they have done in the past? They are all the culprits who are asking resignation of Ram Naik.
Every one says, "Iam proud to be an Indian". But," I am ashamed to an Indian". Everyone is fighting for power not for building a a better India. Politics is like a dirty place in India as much as dirty than a brothel.
