The RSS, at its national executive meeting in Kurukshetra over the weekend, had adopted a resolution seeking the separation of the state into threeparts -- Jammua, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Advani, who also holds the home portfolio, said the government had all along maintained that it would continue to focus on the integration of the state and its people with the rest of the country.
Earlier in the day, Advani held parleys with senior RSS leaders led by K S Sudarshan at the organisation's headquarters in New Delhi.
Advani was closeted with Sudarshan, RSS general secretary Mohan Bhagwat and joint general secretary in-charge of the BJP Madan Das Devi for over 30 minutes, RSS sources said.
