Bharatiya Janata Party president Jana Krishnamurthy on Thursday alleged a "foreign hand" behind the Time magazine article on Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's health and personal habits.
"It is a deliberately planted story. We will have to see who planted it," Krishnamurthy told Aaj Tak news channel.
Alleging that the US magazine's correspondent had used two passports and visited the country "clandestinely", he said, "Our reputed journalists do not do like that. Our journalists do criticise and attack, but they do not do like that. There is a foreign hand behind it."
