The three judges of the Allahabad High Court - Justice S R Alam, Justice Sudhir Narain and Justice Bhanwar Singh - were apprised by officials of the security arrangements and facilities provided to the devotees for having darshan (a glimpse) of the idol of Lord Ram in the make-shift temple.
The judges were accompanied by senior officials, including Faizabad Divisional Commissioner A K Gupta, who is also the Receiver of the acquired land on behalf of the Centre.
The counsels of the main plaintiffs in the title suit - the Babri Masjid Action Committee (BMAC), Nirmohi Akhara and the VHP - were also present during the visit.
Tight security arrangements were made and the timing of the darshan at the make-shift temple was advanced by an hour.
However, mediapersons were not allowed inside the acquired land during the visit.
The judges also visited the 'Ram katha museum' in Tulsi Smarak Sadan building and saw the old relics and artifacts related to Lord Ram's life.
Officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) explained to the judges the historical importance of some of the relics.
The judges later returned to Lucknow, the sources said.
