Security was on Monday beefed up in the southern districts of Orissa following a Naxalite attack in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
The attack in AP was similar to the one, which took place in Orissa's Raigada district. At that time, Naxals blew up a truck killing six Central Reserve Police Force jawans and a driver of the Orissa police in August, a senior police official said in Bhubaneswar.
The outlawed People's War has declared large parts of southern Orissa and bordering districts of Andhra Pradesh as 'liberated zones' and has been carrying out attacks on government offices and police stations.
Last year, they attacked police stations in Orissa's Malkangiri district and blew up Textile Minister Arabind Dhali's house.
