Constable killed in blast in Budgam

One police constable was killed and 13 others, including a paramilitary soldier, were seriously injured in a powerful blast at Magam in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Thursday afternoon.

The blast was caused by an improvised explosive device planted under a bridge by suspected militants.

The injured were moved to a hospital in Magam.

A combing operation has been launched in the area.

No militant group has yet admitted responsibility for the blast.
