On Wednesday, film financier and diamond merchant Bharat Shah heaved a sigh of relief as his prayers were answered.

Though a Mumbai court sentenced him to a year in prison for concealing information from police on the extortion activities of the underworld, it allowed Shah to go free on grounds that he had already spent 14 months in jail.

Here, a tense Shah is seen entering the special MCOCA court to hear the sentence.
