Seven killed in Jammu and Kashmir

Seven people, including two security personnel, have been killed in separate incidents across Jammu and Kashmir since Saturday night.

Two terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces at Dagwan forest area near Dachigam National Park in Srinagar, an official spokesperson said.

They were identified as Abuzar Qasib and Abu Gafar, both residents of Pakistan.

Two Kalashnikov rifles, five magazines, 118 rounds and two damaged wireless sets were found in their possession, he added.

Two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed in Khul village in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, the spokesman said.

They were identified as Riyaz Ahmad Malik and Shabir Ahmad Bhat, both locals.

One Kalashnikov, five magazines, 11 rounds, one wireless set were found in their possession, he said.

Two security personnel were killed when terrorists opened fire on a Rashtriya Rifles patrol party at village Chack-e-Natnoosa in the frontier district of Kupwara.

The jawans were identified as Deepak Arun and Kuldeep Singh. The terrorists fled the scene under the cover of darkness.

Terrorists entered into the house of one Rahim Mir at village Ludna in Doda district and shot dead his daughter, Shazia Bano, the spokesman said.
