Dharam Singh is CLP leader in Karnataka

Senior Karnataka minister Dharam Singh was on Monday night chosen leader of the Congress Legislature Party.

Singh's choice came after All India Congress Committee observers Vilasrao Deshmukh and P M Sayeed had a telephonic talk with Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Outgoing chief minister S M Krishna proposed Singh's name and Deshmukh announced the decision at the CLP meeting.
