MCA Admissions (2004-2005)

Applications are invited for admission to the Jammu University's three-year Master's Degree Programme in Computer Applications for the session 2004-05.

Eligibility: A bachelor's degree (10+2+3) in any discipline/ graduation in any professional course of more than three years duration or any other qualification recognised by the University as equivalent thereto, with 50 per cent aggregate marks (40 per cent for scheduled tribes/ scheduled castes).

Candidates who have appeared for their bachelor's degree (10+2+3) examination during the session 2003-2004 may also apply for admission, subject to the condition that they submit the result of their qualifying examination within 10 days of the declaration of the result of Jammu University's bachelor's degree examination.

Candidates from other universities are required to submit the result of their qualifying examination by August 1, 2004.

Admission will be based on the entrance test to be held at 1.00 pm on July 11 in Jammu.

Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Head, Department of Computer Science, University of Jammu, Jammu, on payment of Rs 100 through a bank draft drawn in the name of the Head, Department of Computer Science, University of Jammu, payable at Jammu.

Outstation candidates can send their requests for forms along with a self-addressed envelope of the size 19x27 cms, duly affixed with stamps for Rs 40, so as to reach this office on or before June 5, 2004.

The forms can be obtained in person till the date of submission.

The last date for the receipt of the completed application form is June 14, 2004.

A limited number of seats, over and above the normal number, are available in the category of 'payment seats'.
