Notification for elections to the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly was issued today. The state will go to poll on October 7.
The last date for filing of nomination is September 20. The scrutiny of the forms will take place on September 21 and the last date for withdrawal is September 23.
The votes will be counted on October 10.
The tenure of the Arunachal Pradesh house was till October 12 but it was dissolved on July 6 soon after the then Chief Minister Gegong Apang reduced the size of his ministry.
Apang was then heading a Bharatiya Janata Party-led United Democratic Front government in the state. He subsequently joined the Congress along with all his ministerial colleagues on August 27.
