Four suspected militants, including a Babbar Khalsa member, allegedly involved in the recent blasts in Delhi, were arrested on Thursday.

"Three persons were arrested from Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh, while one was arrested from Lakhimpur area of Uttar Pradesh," Raipur range Inspector General of Police Durgesh Madhav Awasthy told PTI.

After the three were interrogated, a fourth person was nabbed in Uttar Pradesh, the Raipur IGP said, adding that he was being brought to Chhattisgarh.

On a tip-off, Mahasamund district Superintendent of Police Dipanshu Kabra accosted the three militants when they were at a petrol pump, sources told PTI from Mahasamund.

Of the three, one Gurdev is a suspected member of Babbar Khalsa and is believed to be involved in recent Delhi bomb blasts, the SP said, adding that it was revealed during interrogation that in 1997, Gurdev was arrested with three kg RDX and other explosives in Punjab.

Besides Gurdev, his younger brother Devendra, both residents of Baba Bakala of Punjab and Narendra Singh, resident of Bhilai, had also been arrested and were being produced in Mahasamund court on Thursday for police remand, SP Kabra told PTI.

During interrogation, the trio told that Punjab and Delhi police were chasing Gurdev after some of his associates were arrested and he had initially come to Bhilai last month to take shelter. They also confessed of being involved in some other crimes in Chhattisgharh, the SP claimed.
