The Federation of Hindu Organisations has lodged a police complaint against a private satellite television channel for hurting the sentements of the Hindus by telecasting a programme in which degrading remarks were made about Lord Hanuman in a scene.
In his complaint to the the director general of police and city police commissioner, a copy of which was released to the media, the federation's state organising secretary Vinayagar V Murali said on December 15, the TV channel showed a programme tittled Cinema Karam Kafi in which Hindu god Hanuman was degraded.
He said this would hurt the sentiments of Hindus and appealed to the DGP and police commissioner to take suitable legal action against the management of the TV channel and others concerned.
