Vishwa Hindu Parishad has said that a detailed plan of action for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will be prepared during the Ardh Kumbh mela in Allahabad next year and it will adhere to its old map.
The construction of temple will start from the garbha griha (sanctum sanctorum) and stones that have been carved since 1992 will be given preference for construction, VHP leader Ashok Singhal said during a high-level meeting of the Ramjanambhoomi Committee held in Kanpur on Thursday.
He said that the VHP will accept no new map or proposals on the disputed site and will continue working according to its old plan.
"Any hurdle coming in the way of construction will not be tolerated," he said in an oblique reference to the Mulayam Singh Yadav government that has in the past baulked its plans.
A detailed plan of action for construction of the temple will be prepared during the Ardh Kumbh mela, which will be held in Allahabad early next year, he said, claiming that over 12 lakh Bajrang Dal activists were willing to offer their service for the construction of the temple.
