Police on Friday arrested three persons for allegedly raping a minor girl in a moving vehicle in Gurgaon area of Haryana, more than 24 hours after the incident first came to light.

The arrested were identified as Krishan Kumar, Pradeep and Kalu, all residents of Rampura Village of Gurgaon, police said, adding that the vehicle used by the accused had also been impounded.

The trio, in the age group of 22-25, had allegedly offered a lift to the minor girl and her two relatives on Wednesday night. However, they sped away with her after pushing the other two out of the vehicle.

They repeatedly raped the girl, who works in a private firm in Industrial Model Township, Manesar, and then dumped her on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway, police sources said.

Police first arrested Kumar and later took the others into custody on the basis of the information provided by him. However, police is yet to trace the truck driver who had also allegedly raped the 16-year-old girl, a resident of Pataudi village near Gurgaon. Investigations are on to trace the truck, the sources said.

The truck driver had allegedly sexually assaulted the girl when she asked for his help to reach her native village after being dumped by the wayside by the trio.
