Bush visit: Left parties protest in Hyderabad

Left parties and various human rights groups took out a massive rally near Indira Park on Friday to protest against United States President George Bush's visit to Hyderabad.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) state secretary B V Raghavulu, Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana and prominent human rights activist K G Kannbiran led the rally in which thousands of people, clad in white T-shirts with the slogan - Bush Go Back - printed on them, participated.

Protests against Bush's visit also echoed in the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly premises as CPI(M) and CPI members raised slogans against the US president before they entered the assembly hall.

In the Indira Park area near Hussainsagar lake, Left protestors, held placards denouncing Bush's visit to India, more particularly to Hyderabad.
