Six persons, including two children, were killed and eight others injured when they were run over by a car on Carter road in suburban Bandra in the wee hours of Sunday.

While Pareira was booked under Section 304 of Indian Penal Code, i.e, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, others were booked under Bombay Prohibition Act as all of them were 'drunk', police claimed.

Later in the day, Bandra metropolitan magistrate's court remanded Aliston to police custody till November 14, while the other five were released on bail of Rs 5,000 each.

The accused, all in the age group of 18-20, were returning from a private party, police said.

Fourteen others were injured, out of which six men and two women were admitted to Bhabha Hospital in Bandra while remaining six were discharged after check-up.
