The Bangalore police may have to wait a while longer before they get the contents of the hard disc belonging to Khafeel Ahmed, the suspect in the UK terror plot who died a month back.

Director, Andhra Pradesh Forensic Sciences Laboratory, O Narasimha Murthy told rediff.com that they would give priority to the cases of their state and since they are busy with the Hyderabad blasts case, it would take some more time before they submit the report to the Bangalore police.

The Bangalore police had seized two hard discs from the house of Khafeel Ahmed.

Preliminary reports indicate that the disc contained jihadi material and also bomb-making techiques.

The Bangalore police say that through the contents of the hard disc they will be able to trace Khafeel's links.

They say that the hard disc holds the key to the investigation.

Narasimha Murthy said the discs had been decoded, but they required some more time to send the report.

He said at present they were looking into the bombs that were used in the twin blasts in Hyderabad and that would be given top priority.

The director said all the bombs used in the blasts were similar in nature.

He said that this could be considered as a lead for the investigating agency as it becomes clear that a single outfit was responsible for the blasts.

The Bangalore police had earlier said they were expecting the contents of the hard disc by the end of August.

However, they will now have to wait a while longer than that due to the twin blasts.
