J&K: Jawan held with live ammunition

An army jawan has been arrested for illegaly carrying 231 live ammunition rounds at Jammu Railway Station, official sources said on Wednesday.

Ravinder Englay, a driver in Jammu-based Infantry Field workshop, hails from Belgaon in Karnataka and was arrested by the railway police when he was about to board a train at the station on Tuesday night, they said.

Out of the 231 rounds, 223 rounds of INSAS rifle and 8 rounds of SLR rifle were recovered from his bag, they said, adding Englay was going home on leave.
