One person was injured when militants hurled a grenade on a Central Reserve Police Force picket near the Jammu and Kashmir legislature complex in Srinagar on Friday afternoon.

Official sources said the militants hurled a hand grenade at the force's bunker near Hanuman Mandir but it missed the target and exploded on the road injuring one passerby.

The attack took place at a time when the security has been beefed up in the city in view of the ongoing Assembly session.
