The Central Bureau of Investigations, which is probing the mysterious death of graphics engineer Rizwanur Rehman, interrogated his industrialist father-in-law Ashok Todi and former cricketer Snehasish Ganguly in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Todi is the prime accused in the case while Snehasish is the elder brother of cricketer Saurav Ganguly.

Todi's interrogation by CBI Joint director Arun Kumar and DIG S K Golcha began at 6.30 am and lasted for over ten hours. However, Todi refused to speak to the media when he left the CBI office here after the questioning.

Snehasish, a director in Todi's company, was questioned for an hour. The former cricketer had taken the industrialist's brother Pradip to then police commissioner Prasun Mukherjee to lodge a complaint about Priyanka's marriage at the behest of his employer.

He too declined to speak to the media.

The CBI also summoned Trinamool Congress leader Javed Khan, whose role in the case has come under the scanner following allegations that he had tried to separate Rizwanur from his wife Priynaka after they married against her father's wishes.

"They have called me. So, I have come," Javed said.

CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar said the agency was yet to send a notice to former city police commissioner Prasun Mukherjee for interrogation. "Mukherjee has not been been served a notice yet," he said.
