Blast triggers panic in Bengaluru

A blast occurred on Bannerghatta road in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening triggering panic among people. Sources said poachers were behind the blast.

A police team had rushed to the spot to ascertain the reason behind the blast.

The police had also sought assistance of the forensic team for this purpose.

Preliminary reports suggest that no person has been injured in the blast. However, a stray dog was killed as a result of the explosion.

The blast occurred at around 6 pm and the people of the C K Palya area on the Bannerghatta road reported the matter to the police after they heard a loud sound.

The bomb detection squad had also reached the spot.
