Bhartiya Janshakti Party president Uma Bharti has termed the incident of the dais collapsing
during her public meeting at Bareli town as a "conspiracy" of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place on Thursday at Bareli town in Raisen district where her dais collapsed the moment she stepped on it along with her entourage.

Immediately after the incident, her security personnel took her in their security cover and Bharti delivered her speech later, standing on a chair.

"It was a conspiracy of the BJP to kill me as despite the fact that I was provided Z-category security, the concerned officials failed to check the strength of the dais," she said.

The firebrand leader took to the task the officials present on the occasion.

Taking a dig at the BJP, she said its MPs are like "a product for sale in the market."

She said her party would field candidates on all the seats in Madhya Pradesh and demanded a judicial probe on the issue of collapsing of a dais during her public meeting.
