The powerloom town of Malegaon on Tuesday remained tense following the blast, which killed four persons and injured 70 others but the situation is under control, the police said.
The injured also included seven policemen and 11 homeguards, who were hurt in stone-pelting by a mob after the blast at Bhikku Chowk on Monday night, they said.
Six policemen and Additional SP Viresh Prabhu, were among the injured police said, adding that the wounded were rushed to the nearby Wadia and Medicare hospitals.
The jeep of the sub-divisional-magistrate was also damaged in the stone-pelting and the police resorted to firing in the air to disperse the mob.
Meanwhile, curfew, which was imposed till Tuesday morning in the blast locality near Noorani mosque was relaxed on Tuesday, the police said.
The blast took place near a hotel in Bhikku Chowk around 2145 hours on Monday night and the bomb was reportedly planted in a silver coloured Hero Honda Passion motorcycle, which was found near the site, they added.
The four deceased have been identified as Shaikh Rafiq Shaikh Mustafa, Sayyad Jahir Sayyad Nisar, Sayyad Azhar Sayyad Mohmmed and Shaikh Fakir Shaikh Liyakat, the police said.
Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil and Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal will be visiting the town on Tuesday to take stock of the situation.
Nashik Collector S Chokkalingam and DSP Nikhil Gupta are camping in the town to keep a check on the situation.
The district administration has asked people to remain calm and not to believe in rumours spread by anti-social elements.
Two years back on September 8, 31 people were killed and over 300 were injured in three blasts near the Bada Kabrastan on the Shab-e-Baraat day.
