Terrorists hurl grenade at police station in Kashmir

A police station in north Kashmir's Bandipore district was attacked by terrorists, who hurled a hand grenade injuring four policemen, late on Tuesday evening.

A senior police officer said the terrorists hurled the grenade, which exploded in the police station's premises at Sumbal in Bandipore district.

"Four cops including two special police officers were wounded in the explosion. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment," the officer said.

The area around the police station building was searched. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
