What: Manipal University offers Master of Science, a two-year technical education programme for working professionals in technological areas including Micro Electronics, Computer Science, Digital Design and Embedded Systems, VLSI CAD, Automotive Embedded Systems Design and Embedded Systems Design.

Eligibility

~ Candidates employed in an organisation engaged in the computer science domain with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in BE/ BTech in electrical science stream (computer science/information science/electrical and electronics /electronics and communication /instrumentation engineering /MSc in computer science or digital electronics /MCA and AMIE) can take direct admission to the course.

~ An employee of an organisation engaged in computer science domain with a minimum of 50 percent marks in BE /BTech non-electrical science stream (Mechanical/ Civil /Chemicals etc) will have to undergo a bridge programme and score 50 percent marks in the test conducted at the end of the programme.

~ Candidates with a BSc degree (with mathematics as one of the core subjects) with a minimum of five years of experience and diploma holders with minimum of eight years of experience in the relevant field will also have to undergo a bridge programme and secure 50 percent marks in the test conducted at the end of the bridge programme.

Important dates

~ Last date for collecting and submitting the application form: April 25, 2009.

~ Selection test dates: April 5, 12 and 26.

~ Classes will commence on May 17, 2009.
