- The award of the KVPY Fellowship - 2009 is effective from April 1, 2010 (Rs 4,000-Rs 7,000 per month plus contingency grant)
- Stream SA: Students enrolled in Std XI (science subjects) during the academic year 2009-10
- Stream SB + 2 (SX): Students enrolled in +2/ Std XII during the academic year 2009-10 and aspiring to join an undergraduate programme in basic sciences (BSc/ Integrated MSc) during the academic year 2010-2011
- Stream SB: Stuedents enrolled in firt year BSc/ Integrated MSc during the academic year 2009-10
- Stream SP (Basic Sciences): Students enrolled in Std XI to BSc second year during teh academic year 2009-10
- Stream SP (Engineering): Students enrolled in I/II year BE/ BTech/ BArch during the academic year 2009-10
- Stream SP (Medicine): Students enrolled in I/II professional year MBBS programme during the academic year 2009-10
