What: The Common Law Admission Test scsheduled for May 17, 2009, has been postponed.
Details
Two locked and sealed steel boxes containing the CLAT-2009 Test material have been tampered with deliberately by breaking the latches and the locks, while these boxes were in transit from Hyderabad to Lucknow [ Images ] through Blue Dart Courier services. On examination, it is reported by the Registrar, RMLNLU, Lucknow that it seems to be a case of deliberate tampering with the boxes.
In view of the above, there is no other alternative except to postpone the CLAT-2009 Test both for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses and now
it shall not be held on May 17, 2009 as scheduled earlier.The new date of CLAT-2009 Test shall be announced shortly after details are worked out by the Core Committee of Eleven Vice-Chancellors of National Law Universities. The candidates shall retain the Hall Tickets already dispatched to them and they shall use the same in the rescheduled CLAT-2009 Test.
