What: The National Institute of Industrial Learning (NITIE) is organising its annual field marketing event 'Mandi', a socio-marketing initiative that seeks to combine the entrpreneurial spirit and a practical approach to learning with social responsibility.
About Maha Mandi
Following the success of Mandi in previous years, this year the NITIE team will be joined by students from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Shailesh J Mehta School of Management and KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies for Maha Mandi.
As a direct marketing exercise, the students will sell educational items designed and manufactured by Navnirmiti, an NGO that works towards the upliftment of economically deprived children.
Through this activity NITIE aims to promote the practical application of knowledge together with the corporate social responsibility that is expected out of every student when he/she ventures into the corporate world.
Together the students will take to the streets of Mumbai on July 31 and aim to raise more than Rs 12 lakh, which will be used to fund the activities of Navnirmiti for a whole year.
