Announcing admissions to MSc in IT, electronic media

What: Anna University, Chennai invites applications for admission to the following five-year integrated self-supporting degree programmes offered at College of Engineering, Guindy Campus, Anna University Chennai, for the
academic year 2010-11:

• MSc (Computer Science) / MSc (Information Technology) and
• MSc in Electronic Media

Eligibility:

MSc (Computer Science) / MSc (Information Technology)
A pass in the HSC (academic) or equivalent in the first appearance itself, with mathematics, physics and chemistry as three of the four subjects of study prescribed under Part III with minimum eligibility marks.

MSc (Electronic Media)
A pass in the HSc of 10+2 curriculum of any group under Part III (or) its equivalent.

Age limit
The candidate shall not have completed 21 years of age as on July 1, 2010. The age restriction is relaxable by three years for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu.

Applications can be obtained:
In person by cash or DD for Rs 600/- (Rs 300/- for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) towards registration fee at examination centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai 600 025.

• Tamil Nadu SC/ST candidates should produce a copy of the Community Certificate for availing registration fee concessions.
• All demand drafts should be drawn in favour of 'The Director (Admissions), Anna University Chennai', payable at Chennai obtained from any nationalised bank on or after May 15, 2010.
• Completed application form should be sent to the Director (Admissions), Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 25 on or before June 2.
• Commencement of issue of application form: May 20, 2010
• Last date for issue and submission of filled in application in person and by post : June 2, 2010
