Bangalore luxury spa plays host to Duchess Camilla

As news updates continue to pour in about international atheletes postponing or cancelling their travel plans to the Commonwealth Games scheduled for October in Delhi, it seems Duchess of Cornwall Camilla (formerly Parker Bowles) is making the most of the time she spends in the country. And the Soukya Holistic Health Centre in Bangalore is playing host.

Camilla, who will accompany husband Prince Charles for the opening of the games, has reportedly checked into Soukya for a four-day sojourn.

The centre offers treatments in ayurveda, homoeopathy, naturopathy as well as therapy through yoga, acupuncture, reflexology, acupressure. Some of the alternative health therapies on offer inlcude nasal cleaning, leech therapy and anti-ageing treatments all conducted in luxurious surrounds.

Headed by Dr Issac Mathai, the centre offers wellness and medical treatment starting at Rs 2,750, with an all-vegetarian cuisine, herbal drinks, daily consultations and dietary advice.

According to a DaliyMail.co.uk report, the Duchess has checked into a GBP 1,140-a-night (approx Rs 81,180), 2,500-square foot suite for four days with 15 friends and family before she heads for Delhi on October 2. The suite inlcudes three bedrooms, a private garden and open-air-shower.
