How do you prepare yourself before the fashion week starts?

The season of fashion weeks have set in. Before this, I was at the Amazon India Fashion Week, then at a fashion show in Jaipur, Kolkata and now here. And so it's very difficult to keep yourself fit. But wherever I go, I always find out a gym to work out. I keep a check on my workout regime, have my clothes in place, eat and sleep on time and most importantly think positive.

Your fitness regime...

Surya Namaskar is best for the whole body.  Even swimming and cycling keeps you fit. I am five days at the gym for one and half an hour -- 30 minutes of cardio and one hour of weight training exercises. I eat eggs, chicken, fish, paneer -- I take proteins from natural sources.

During fashion weeks, it's difficult to hit the gym. So I do free-hand exercises, whenever I get the time. In the backstage, you can find me doing push-ups and chin-ups.

Is there any regime you follow for your skin and hair?

I am blessed with good hair and skin. The only secret is that I avoid junk food. I am teetotaler. I always prefer home-cooked food.

I try to carry food made at home to my shoots even.

Is there a particular diet that you follow during fashion weeks?

I try to eat light food during fashion weeks. The shows are back-to-back and I don't want to be sleepy.

For how many designers are you walking for in this season?

This season, unfortunately I am just walking for one designer, SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi.

Have you gotten a role in a movie? Please give us some details about it.

I have. But there's some production issue going on. It's Amjad Khan's film and the movie was tentatively named LOL.'

Which is the show that you have always looked forward to walk for and why

Antar-Agni has some amazing clothes for men. And Rohit Bal of course. But unfortunately I am not a part of it. He has around 40 male models walking for him in the grand finale. He's a showman!

So many years into modelling, what are the good things that you have come across in so many years?

I started seeing life from a different point of view since the time I have joined the industry. I feel that I am more groomed and focused about life now. I love to travel, and I get to do it in this job. It's quite a perk!

What do you do when you aren't working?

I love music. I play guitar, I travel and also do a bit of acting.

Tell us about your first job/modelling assignment...

In 2007, I did a shoot for India Today magazine wearing Jatin Kocchar.I first walked on the ramp for Rocky S at Blender's Pride Fashion Week. This show gave me an edge in my career.

Aspiring models should ...

... do something else too. Always have a back-up plan. After all, the ratio of male models is lesser than female models. The demand of male models is less but the supply is more.

So what's your back-up plan?

I have a production company AR Productions, which is into event management.

Your plans after the fashion week...

I have a couple of shoots lined up in New Delhi. Once done, I plan to chill in Mumbai.

The movie Ki & Ka (starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor) is based on house husbands. What do you think about it?

If a woman is too busy, she can't stay at home and the man is doing nothing, then there's no harm in taking care of the house. But men are supposed to work and women are supposed to take care of the child and so on. If she wants to work, there's nothing wrong though.

India couldn't make it to the semi-finals. Are you hooting for either of the teams who are in the finals?

My support always goes for India. But I think West Indies is playing really well, and they might win.

Virat Kohli stood up for Anushka Sharma on social media as he shut people who criticised her. Your comments.

Just one thing -- I want Virat and Anushka to patch up. They look good together.
