I walked at the Lakme Fashion Week last year for Tarun Tahiliani," says Jessica, 21, unable to contain her excitement about her achievement.

Talking about her maiden debut at one of the most extravagant fashion events in India, Jessica says, "I was the winner of Sunsilk Mega Miss North East contest and so was given a chance to walk for Lakme Fashion Week for Reliance Trends exclusively. And I did," says she showing her emotions.

Having come to Mumbai from Meghalaya after a B.E in music,  language was no bar for this lanky model to get glued to the fashion scene here. She quickly made really good friends with many super models!

"I just can't believe it; it was such a surreal moment for me," blushes Jessica.

As luck and hard work would have it, she is back again at LFW, this time having been asked by designer Medha Saikia to walk for her.

"I so, so much wanted to come back. I didn't know how to get here. I was willing to try anything! And then suddenly this year I got a call from Medha Saikia Mam and I just couldn't believe it!"

"She asked me if I was interested and I still can't believe it's true! My answer was definitely a YES," adds Jessica looking resplendent in a maroon top from Koovs, and a LBD from Mango.

"My sandals are from Van Huesen," she says proudly, as she talks about her fashion statement on Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week. "They were on sale," she adds quickly showing off her keen eyes for purchasing marquee brands at affordable prices.

"I was so excited I just couldn't express myself... And here I am... I'm back."

Ask her about her fashion statement and Jessica says, "I'm a person who likes to be comfortable. To me, if you're comfortable in what you're wearing, then that's fashion!
